When we set out to build a light weight XC race bike we wanted something that would feel solid, something we could ride without the fear of breaking some fragile weight weeny parts. We were able to build up a Turner Czar at 21.06lbs, with some pretty solid parts:
- Full Size Ritchey trail bar/stem/superlogic post
- Fizik aliante carbon
- Sram XX1
- Shwalbe racing Ralphs glued to ENVE XC tubular wheels
- Rockshox Sid XX w/ remote lockout
- Magura Mt8 brakes
We could have shaved that last pound off with a few lighter components, but I guess you’ll just have to pedal a bit harder.
